The Tehachapi City Council will be considering appointing one member to the City Council, District 2 to fill a vacancy created by the resignation of Keith Sackewitz on June 26, 2023. The appointment will expire following the certification of the November 2024 election.
All applications must be returned to Tehachapi City Hall by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 16, 2023. The City Council will consider the applications during the Tehachapi City Council meeting to be held on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.
The City of Tehachapi encourages residents to apply for positions on city boards, commissions and committees that will have vacancies.
At the end of each year, the city publishes a list of expiring appointed terms for the coming year, names of incumbents, and the dates of their appointment. Vacancies can also occur when resignations are submitted.
